Somewhere beginning in the mid-1980s, Tim began gathering together other songwriters and a few visual and film artists from time to time to create, discuss and sometimes record their creative endeavors.

In 2000, Tim sought a more permanent home for this informal gathering, and began building a modest recording and production studio. Shortly thereafter, he had the good fortune to meet talented producer, beat master and jazz saxophonist Jeff Thompson, who had recently left the legendary Streeterville recording studio.

Since that meeting, Tim and Jeff have partnered to create and produce a variety of projects, many of which they sponsor and have high hopes for, and a few of which are simply labors of love.

A Note from Tim

It is my hope that, if you find anything unique about this site, it might be how personal it is. The people represented here are all friends, and the purpose of this website is simply to share their work – and maybe tell a few stories about them too.

It’s really fun to create music. Sometimes the results are good and sometimes, not so good. But what is always very good is the process itself. As a good friend of mine once said, “My worst day creating music is still better than my best day working in the chemical plant.”  And while most of us have slightly better day gigs, I’d venture to say that we’d all agree with the sentiment.

That’s also why so many people continue to create music and art even when they’re pretty sure they’re not going to make a red cent on the project – because it’s fun to do. And while the lack of money can be a real pain in the neck sometimes, it seems to me that real artists tend to keep creating.

In the end, that’s what seems really interesting: to watch who keeps creating. So this site celebrates a few of those folks.

It also celebrates the simple joy of friends coming together to have fun and make music.

I hope that you’ll enjoy some of the work.
